When Sleep Calls
I can hear sleep calling
Loudly in my head with a “go to bed”
That keeps me stalling
Since I can’t sleep through his speech.
He’s too noisy, so my slumber’s out of reach.

I can so relate! Love it!
Somedays I finally get to write and it’s the end of the day and I’m exhausted… so sleep or lack of sleep is a relatively common theme with me. Same with coffee poems. When I wake up early to avoid the chaos of parenthood.
