Refrigerated Fruit

Refrigerated Fruit

My mind cannot grapple
With the concept of room-temperature fruit.
Why wouldn’t you want it cold?
When an orange or an apple
Rewards refrigerated pursuit,
All I taste is bold.

  1. We sometimes leave apples, bananas, and clementines on the counter/non-refrigerated so we remember we have them and eat them before they go bad.

    1. I was back from Michigan for a day before I realized that I had clementines and apples in the fridge. If I know it’s there, I’m much more likely to eat refrigerated fruit.
