Pull Door

Pull Door

If you tried to push but nearly slammed your face
You could curse the door or
Simply give yourself some space
To pull the door in this case.

Aloe

Aloe

This tissue’s like a sandpaper mesh
Around the remaining flesh
Ringing my nostrils with red
Chapped skin instead

Of imagining where the aloe plant grows,
An exotic place where colds don’t exist,
A warm place where they insist
There’s a comfort in blowing my nose.

Killavision

Killavision

Sit in the glow of other people’s dreams
As their victory gleams
With the reflection of your decision
To watch them have a vision.

Needy

Needy

Putting you off
‘till the chaos of the world
subdues into a nearly nonexistent hum.
Background music’s
Out of focus as I enter in
To taste a Bread of Life crumb.

Muffin Tin

Muffin Tin

I fill each tin
With a soapy grin
Angled away from me in the sink
Dissolving less desirable pieces
In this soapy drink.
The process releases
Muffin mush to descend down the drain
While I attempt in vain
To scrub the staining adorners
Trapped in those circular corners.

In Decision

In Decision

There’s a fission found in decision
When two opposing choices have their voices
Unheard so each word
opposes the other letting another
Moment fill with the division of indecision.

Sisyphean Toothpaste

Sisyphean Toothpaste

I strain in vain
As I fold and roll and squeeze and slide
To squish the toothpaste still inside
Outward for my bristles’ claim
Of yesterday’s eternal game.

It’d be a shame to waste
Any bit of tooth paste.

Spam Commercials

Spam Commercials

It’s not that I’m not irritated, I am,
But I wonder why I tolerate the spam
That’s broadcasted through commercial breaks.
It’s not the kind that the internet makes,
But its uninvited, untargeted distraction
Generates the same spammy reaction
Unless the commercial gives me something more,
An unexpected gift I’m watching for.
